NABE TEC2025 — Preview

What is NABE TEC?

Now in its ninth year, the NABE Tech Economics Conference (TEC2025) brings together hundreds of applied economists, data scientists, academics, and graduate students for rich discussions on how developments in economics and data science are shaping the tools, frameworks, and techniques used by practitioners in tech and across industries.

TEC has quickly become the largest causal inference conference for economists in the tech industry, offering a unique platform to exchange innovative insights and real-world applications.

TEC also features an Industry Job Fair that connects top economics talent with tech firms and other organizations hiring applied economists.

This year’s conference, built around the theme Causal Inference, A.I., and Experiments in Action, explores how emerging tools and methods are being used to solve real business challenges. Sessions examine how companies leverage experimentation and data-driven insights to improve customer experiences, optimize pricing, refine marketing strategies, and guide organizational transformation.

Attendees will gain exposure to the latest advancements in applied econometrics, causal inference, experimental design, and machine learning, with a strong emphasis on practical implementation. The agenda is designed not only to introduce new tools and frameworks but also to provide concrete examples of how these methods shape strategy, marketing, and product development in the tech sector and beyond.
