The NABE Foundation is committed to advancing the field of business economics by providing professionals with essential tools and development opportunities and fostering the growth of emerging economists. Through its scholarship programs, the Foundation supports economists early in their careers—helping them build the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to succeed and become future leaders in the profession.

Current Scholarship Opportunities

NABE Education Scholarships

  • Open | Rolling, Course-Specific Deadlines
    NABE Course Scholarships

    Support for eligible NABE courses (applications accepted on an ongoing basis).

    Eligible for those who are:

    • A student in a CBE University Partnership Program, OR
    • Meet all of the following:
      • Currently employed in a role using economic concepts/tools
      • Completed a four-year degree from an accredited university
      • 1+ year of work experience using economic concepts/tools
  • Open | Rolling, Course-Specific Deadlines
    Recently Unemployed Scholarship for NABE Courses

    Designed to help professionals stay connected and keep skills current during a career transition.

    Eligible for those who are:

    • Recently unemployed and actively seeking a new position in economics or statistics, OR
    • Have accepted an early retirement package and plan to begin a job search for a position within six months.

NABE Diversity & Inclusion Initiative

    NABE Scholars

    Launched in June 2020, the NABE Scholars Program builds on the NABE Foundation’s longstanding commitment to supporting the next generation of economists. The program aims to expand access and increase diversity within the business economics profession by creating opportunities for talented students and early-career professionals from groups historically underrepresented in the field. NABE Foundation Economic Measurement Seminar

Each year, The NABE Foundation sponsors the Economic Measurement Seminar to help professionals new to the economics field. The seminar provides practical skills and development that can be applied directly in the workplace. The 2026 event will be held July 27–28 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC.


Awards

The NABE Foundation funds a number of awards promoting excellence in the profession, including NABE's Annual Adam Smith Award, NABE Lynn Reaser Economic Forecasting Award, and other awards for researchers publishing original research in Business Economics.
