TEC2026 marks a decade of bringing together the economists shaping the future of technology.

Over the past ten years, the NABE Tech Economics Conference has grown into one of the premier gatherings for applied economists working across technology, business, academia, and policy. The conference convenes hundreds of economists, data scientists, graduate students, and industry leaders exploring how advances in economics, machine learning, experimentation, and data science are transforming decision-making across industries.

TEC has become especially recognized for its focus on causal inference, experimentation, and real-world applications of economics in tech, offering attendees direct insight into the methods, tools, and frameworks driving innovation at leading companies and institutions.

This year’s conference will explore the next frontier of tech economics, including:

  • Artificial intelligence and LLM applications
  • Causal inference and experimentation at scale
  • Econometrics and machine learning workflows
  • Measurement, data quality, and new datasets
  • Market design and platform economics
  • Productionizing analytics inside organizations
  • Policy challenges shaping the tech economy

Sessions are designed to move beyond theory and showcase how economists are solving practical business problems — from pricing and product strategy to forecasting, advertising, consumer behavior, and platform optimization.

TEC2026 will also feature networking opportunities, recruiting connections, and an Industry Job Fair connecting top economics talent with organizations hiring applied economists and data scientists. Details coming soon.
