Forecasting
Forecasting is a common activity among NABE members. NABE has many tools to help you in your own individual forecasting.
NABE Outlook
The NABE Outlook is a quarterly consensus forecast compiled from a panel of NABE members. In addition to the full published text and numbers in the forecast, NABE members are given even more data to help them extend and customize the forecast. This data includes the detailed (although anonymous) individual responses and full statistical breakdown to the current survey, as well as historical numbers. This will enable all NABE members to extend the forecast for their individual use.
NABE Industry Survey
The NABE Industry Survey is a look, at the individual firm level, of results for the most recent quarter for a number of key indicators: demand; capital spending; employment; material costs; wages & salaries; inventories; and profit margins. This survey has been conducted quarterly for the past twenty years. As with the NABE Outlook, members are given the detailed (although anonymous) individual responses and full statistical breakdown, as well as historical numbers. If you work within a US firm/industry, you are invited to join in the quarterly survey.
NABE Policy Survey
The NABE Polkicy Survey is a semi-annual look at some of the key policy questions facing the US economy, including the conduct and expectations for fiscal and monetary policy. All NABE members located in the US can join the Policy panel.
