Americans for the Arts Scholarship

The NABE Foundation is again partnering with Americans for the Arts by awarding its eighth annual Americans for the Arts scholarship to encourage the integration of the arts into the economic education process. We believe that good, creative economic strategy is inherently dependent on our ability to come up with out-of-the box solutions to the economic challenges that we now face. This scholarship aims to further the profession of economics by providing funding for arts students who are entering the field of economics. The amount of the award is $5,000. 2016 Salary Survey Report Available

The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) conducted the first salary survey of its members in 1964. Every two years since—with the exception of 1966 and 1970— NABE has surveyed its members about their salaries and other occupational details. In April and May 2016, NABE, in conjunction with The NABE Foundation (the charitable arm of NABE), conducted the current edition of the NABE Salary Survey. Questionnaires were sent via email to 1,798 standard and group members, and to NABE Fellows; participants responded online. A total of 438 members responded with information on their compensation, for a response rate of 24%.

The median base salary of NABE members as of April 2016 was $131,221—a 0.9 percent increase from 2014. The mean (average) base salary was $152,798—an increase of 5.3 percent from that reported in 2014.
